The StarsNotes

Hi SOUL Hi!  Lovianhal!
How you? I’m glad you’re here. I’m here too! I love you.

Chiiiiiiile. This has been a year. Hasn’t it? When I look back on all of it.
The juicy bits.
The fun.
The crazy parts.
The Loss– so much loss.

Like tumbling down a mountain made of sand. It’s painful, but not exactly life-threatening. Maybe.  Then comes the mustering up of enough energy to crawl my way back to some semblance of solid ground. Will I stop at a mirage on my way because it’s looks like an oasis that has a gorgeous waterfall? For Respite?

Of course I will.

The mirage is a gift of my imagination.
Delusional? Maybe.

But at a time such as this– when the delulu of neo (reg old) fascism is making “a comeback” in the year of our Tubman 2024… Imagining the most spectacular life and ideas and ideals that I can bring forth and live from that place– even if the rest of the world can’t see the wonders in my head–yet– is a superpower. Hear me out.

I’m finally, truly beginning to embody the understanding that founding Dean Dr. Ajima Olaghere told us on probably her very first show appearance. “What we suffer from most is a failure of imagination”. Her statement lingers in my awareness like priceless art on a blank wall. We often, as a collective society, view imagination as this thing that children get swept away in and grow out of. Or that artists and musicians lose themselves by. We don’t think of imagination as practical for everyday living– because life requires sober focus and stoic attention and intention. You’ve got bills to pay. Where would imagination come into play?

And yet the place I’m coming to is that imagination is the living portal to all of the above. It’s the missing link to the lives of our dreams. It’s the cobwebbed portal waiting to be re-discovered within us. It’s the door. It’s the way. As Karen Clark Sheard sings in her classic song “It’s Not Over”

You gotta see it,
before you see it
or you never will see it.

I thought I knew what that meant until I started reading this book called Everyday Miracles by David Spangler. In it, Spangler positions that manifestation is not about affirmation or recitation or even droning over a laundry list of wants, needs and desires. It’s not even really about thoughts or thinking. Manifestation is a relationship that we have with our own life. Manifestation is a relationship. And how in the heck do we have relationship with something that’s invisible Sway?

Through our imagination.

And that’s what I’m wanting to chat about tonight on our final regular show of the year 2024. Our shiftprompt this month is The Art of BEing MANIFEST.  Mastering Alchemy, Nature’s Insight, Familiar Experiences, Sacred Truth.

Next week, of course, is our 5th annual Envy’s On Air Birthday Jawn and it shalt be star-studded, per usual. But tonight’s class shalt be also…

“We must see ourselves as co-manifestors — partners in manifestation — all engaged in the primal act of unfoldment and emergence. Each act of manifestation may be directed toward a specific outcome, but it also contributes to the greater manifestation of the wholeness, love, compassion, and creativity of the primal source from which we all come.”

“Manifestation is an act of trust. It is the soul pouring itself out into its world, like a fisherman casting a net to gather in the fish he seeks; with each cast properly made, we will bring what we need to us, but first we must hurl ourselves into the depths without knowing just what lies beneath us.”
David Spangler

You can listen live with this link and/or on the WURD App. We ARE Live on the FB Live OR  Twitch too tonight!
