Hi SOUL Hi! Lovianhal!
How you? I’m glad you’re here. I’m here too! I love you.
Whew Chile. I don’t know how we did it, but we made it to April. I’m positive within the next century– we’ll look back upon these times, scratching our heads whilst turning the pages of all the in-depth, global research about 1) how we let these times happen with such zing (again) and b) why we all decided to stay and watch it happen. Also, how we learned all the fan flapping line dances without getting them confused.
Welcome April.
I was in conversation earlier with one of my FB frens. Empress Naima had sent me a brilliantly constructed paragraph by Dr. Stacey Patton that talked about the epigenetics–the passed down, unhealed, unacknowledged trauma that is supposed to explain the compulsion to craft the fuckery opera we find ourselves in… *waves hands over everything*
“Lissen,
I need people to understand that the greatest threat right now isn’t Donald Trump. No, it’s collective denial. DENIAL.
Far too many people don’t realize that what we’re witnessing right now is the violent death rattle of a white supremacist order that would rather destroy everything than lose control.
What’s happening in this country right now isn’t just political or economic chaos. No, it’s ancestral panic. An existential crisis. Trump’s tariffs, the stripping of environmental protections, the job cuts, the reckless economic nationalism. It’s all part of a much older, darker impulse.
It’s not just policy. It’s pathology. It’s an inherited, epigenetic unraveling.
Let’s look at these tariffs and economic sabotage. People believe this is just bad economics. Making imports more expensive, sparking retaliatory tariffs, destabilizing trade. That’s the damn point!
These racist capitalist overlords aren’t trying to build a sustainable economy. They don’t want to!!! It’s about building a psychological fortress for themselves. Can’t y’all see it? They are boarding up the windows in a burning house, hoarding the last cans of food, and saying, “If we can’t have this world, neither can you people.” It’s desperation masked as strategy.
White supremacy is not a system of creation. It never has been. It’s a system of EXTRACTION. It can’t produce shit. It can only drain resources, labor, dignity, life. And as its illusions crumble, as demographic changes take hold, as the myth of invincibility dies, what’s left is an instinct to DESTROY EVERYTHING on the way down. The climate, the economy, vitality. It’s the scorched earth response of people who believe their divine right to rule is being taken away.
This behavior is not just cultural or ideological. It’s biological. We’re dealing with the descendants of traumatized, traumatizing people.
Remember, Europe didn’t send its best to colonize the Americas. It sent its debtors, its criminals, its war-torn peasants. People bred in systems of hierarchy, punishment, enclosure, cruelty. People raised under monarchies and inquisitions and mass executions. They brought their unresolved trauma, their terror of scarcity, their obsession with domination. And over centuries, they passed that on not just through stories and institutions, but in bodies, nervous systems, and biochemistry. Yes, racism became biology.
That’s the inheritance. The hoarding. The paranoia. The pathological fear of being replaced. The lack of empathy. The cruelty. The inability to imagine a world where others thrive without it being a personal loss. For them, racial justice is a zero sum game.
This is why they would rather poison the planet than let the “others” inherit it. Why they would rather tank the economy than share opportunity. What we are seeing in late stage white supremacy is a legacy of trauma on a geopolitical scale.
That’s what we’re up against. Not just bad policy, but centuries of unhealed trauma weaponized as politics. What comes next depends on whether we can see it for what it truly is and whether we’re brave enough to survive its death throes without becoming what it was.”
Racism–(she posits and I paraphrase) as we experience it–is a symptom of generational trauma.
It’s also not rational.
It’s not based on anything tangible
nor is it survival necessary.
It really is more like a virus or a demon possession than a feeling.
It’s a phantom that wages an internal war,
gunpowder exploding in the blood
The person who carries the virus
wants nothing more than to be free of the pain
but also
the inexplicable, all consuming threat of annihilation.
And because true self-reflection is not a thing that many
and maybe most
paler-pallored people are encouraged to do with their matrix privileges
the learning loop we’re all on feels like it’s been gone on for too long.
AND
it’s not our lesson to stop.
Which is interesting yes?
On April 1, Sen. Cory Booker did a thing– he beat Strom Thurmond’s weird longest speech filibuster record after standing up on the Senate podium situation for over 25 hours. I listened to the last 4 hours or so. I thought it well done. Reactions to this fete have been mixed. We’ll be hashing out our ideas about this tonight.
Also on April 1, Val Kilmer passed on to the ancestor realm. I watched his documentary “Val” in his honor and when I tell you his energy has been following me around for the last several days. Whew. It’s worth having a discussion about this also– considering…
April 3, VP Kamala Harris told a room full of thought leaders–in essence– I told y’all.
Some folx are having a 1 million person march or some such on April 5. Black folx have been told en masse, ancestrally, to set their behinds at home.
And so yes. This is the set up spirit has given us as we venture forth into this new #shiftprompt we’re working through for the month of April.
The Art of BEing EARTH.
And it makes sense. Last month we were fire. A few months before, we were water. This month we tune in to the frequency of remembering our connections to everything that exists– on this planet and beyond. Peep the acronym for EARTH–Everything Arrives Rhythmically, Truthfully Holy.
Which begs the very important question– EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING?
